Our Dwelling Place

Here is a virtual tour of our new home. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhqz6iSbOiE You have to go to YouTube because i think it was too long to put on my blog. This video is rated PG 13 because there is mild baby nudity. There's my disclaimer. The house is not quite finished yet but Adam is working hard at getting things put together. I am working hard cleaning. I tell you what, I don't think I have cleaned this much in my whole life. Both apartment and the house had to be done. I've been trying to use "green" products so I'm not inhaling a bunch of toxic stuff, but some things just require BLEACH!!! I am so in love with all this space! So many cupboards in the garage and my kitchen. So many windows! (more cleaning) I no longer have to save quarters for the washer and dryer. I have a dishwasher now! I also love having a bathroom right off of my room. I love the blue color Adam painted our room. I love the backyard. Most of all, I love watching Fisher here. He can go in and out of the back door as he pleases and he likes to play up and down our hallway. He likes to play in the back yard on his bike that he can't quite pedal yet because he's too short! It makes my heart happy to watch my little boy have an environment that he's able to stretch his legs in! It feels like home when I watch him. Right now, though, he is just a tyrant. He's been trying to do anything and everything he can that is naughty. Corner time is not seeming to work. Yelling at him doesn't work. He kinda just smiles and thinks it's a joke. Adam made him stay in the corner for 10 minutes when he threw his rice all over the dining room. We tell him to put his nose in it and he smiles and says "nose" then happily puts it in the corner for a second. We definitely have our hands full at this point.

Just a Note

Adam is working hard on the house we are moving into. I'm busy packing and can't wait to just be done. I'm a little too pregnant to be lifting what I'm lifting and I'm complaining a little too much about my sore back, leg cramps, and belly cramps. Not to mention breathlessness. Why does it seem that the second pregnancy is harder on my body then the first. Or am I just older? It's not that much longer till this one is here and I don't even have a name in mind. What goes with Fisher?

first swim lesson!

Fisher had his very first swim lesson. We went with another friend who is in this pic with him. Fisher was the most excited and happy kid there. You should have seen the huge grin on his face pretty much the whole time. He got mad at me because he didn't want me to help him, but it's not as if I can let go yet. He managed to break free twice and inhaled quite a bit of water. However that did not slow him down. We'll be going twice a week for 5 weeks. He's already starting to get comfortable on his back. I just need him to learn how NOT to breath in water and he'll be golden. Oh my little Fish. How big you are getting.

Some Pictures!

Sadly, this is the first picture we've taken of my second pregnancy. Not as diligent as we were with Fisher. This was taken at 20 weeks. I'm 26 weeks now.

Potty training outfit.

Fisher stood up and when he did he got stuck by his diaper. I didn't realize what had happened at first. He kept saying "eeeeehhhhhh". Then, when I saw what had happened I laughed hysterically and ran to get the camera. This picture was taken towards the end when I had taken many pictures and he was starting to get worried that I might never get him free.

For some reason, this day he wanted to put his hat on. He never likes to wear a hat.

Mr. Potato head has been around for a long time. I think there's a similar picture of me when I was little doing the same thing.

Fisher with his Nana. I think he was more concerned about the dog he was holding by a leash than he was with the picture.

On the beach in Port Angeles

Fisher with his PaPa. We drove all day just to get to see Papa before he shipped out early the next morning. It was worth it!

Almost 2 years old!

Okay, so I'm not very good at keeping up with this. A lot has been happening in Fisher's life. He's expecting a sibling in December and has been watching my belly grow. He points at it and says "baby" often. I really don't think he understands but it's cute anyway. His vocabulary has grown tons and at 21 months he is saying things like potty, cheese, keys, kitty, dog, apple, bubbles, shoes, tales (for veggie tales), bug, eewww (as in gross),all his body parts, a lot of animals along with the noises they make, and much more. He's potty training now so he also says pee, and pook (poop). I don't know where he gets the k on the end. I'm impressed at how well he's getting the potty training thing with how young he is. I'm just amazed at him every day. Today he actually used a two word sentence. He said "dad, food" We had just brought dad food. Of course, along with all this growing independence he's gotten quite the attitude. He's testing his boundaries constantly and I'm just plain tired of keeping up with him. Oh, he's also quite the "loveable bully". Meaning that he doesn't mean to be rough; he just is. He has one friend who is terrified of him and runs screaming to his mom whenever Fisher is plowing towards him. All he wants is a hug! He also loves to dump stuff on other kid's heads. Water, sand, dirt, mud, blocks, etc. I don't know what the fascination is but he loves it! Needless to say the kids getting dumped on don't appreciate it.
We're moving into a rental house this month with a fenced backyard and it's located right across the street from a nice park. I'm super excited to have ROOM and a backyard for Fisher. Adam is having to work pretty hard to get it ready for us. Since I'm pregnant I can't help him paint. I couldn't even if I weren't pregnant. One of us has to watch Fisher constantly because he is into EVERYTHING that he isn't supposed to be.
Adam got a new job about a month and a half ago. So far he likes it a lot and it's a good change of pace for him. He's still in mechanic work, but he's managing.
That's it for now. Expect more in, you know, 6 months or so.

16 months and counting

It's been a long time since I posted anything. So here's a quick update. Fisher is now 16 months and is running everywhere he goes. He's saying things like "hi", "wow", "uh-oh", "ball", "mom", "dad", and other things I can't understand yet but know they mean something. We just got back from a great trip to Afton Wyoming, TwinFalls Idaho, Wellington Nevada, Sacramento Cali, and Santa Rosa Cali. We visited Adam's whole family including Fisher's great Grandpa Perkes. We had a really fun time with everyone. We then traveled to see my grandparents on my dad, Bob's side. I haven't seen them in over 20 years so it was a really emotional reunion. They were stoked to meet Fisher and Adam. Then we visited my dad, Bob whom I haven't seen in over a year. And finally we stayed with our friend Sherry in her newly bought house. Needless to say we were super busy and are extremely happy to be done driving!!! We are excited for summer and can't wait for lots of river time now that Fisher is old enough to enjoy it.

lady bug uh-oh

We were out getting the garden ready for planting when we discovered a ladybug. We had great fun with the ladybug until I heard a crunch. Apparently Fisher busted the wings on the poor lady.
